Despite complementary coupons good for breakfast at the casino across the street, we decided to go to a grocery store and Starbucks (which was also located inside a casino, literally 10 ft from the nearest slot machine). We headed towards our next locality, or rather the general area of our next locality. We were supposed to go to Homestead Cave, but it was located on bombing test grounds used by the military. Instead we found a nice, hot ridge to camp on. Fatigued by the heat, we took a quick survey of the cheat grass landscape for raptor and lagomorph pellets (of which we found very few) then took siestas in the shade of the junipers around our camp. We were able to find some incredible Mississippian fossils of small oceanic organisms. We had a leisurely afternoon of playing cards, reading, and resting. Even though we didn't find many (read: any) pellets, we all enjoyed our campsite and decided to sleep out under the stars.

We decided this ridge was a good spot for having a photo-shoot.
